Our 12-week summer Design Engineer Intern opportunity offers candidates working toward their Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering exposure to a variety of assignments which could include: New Product Development, Product Design, Process improvement and Process development. Tools to be used include Creo Parametric, PTC Windchill, Microsoft Suite, Microsoft Power Automate, and AI. Here at Trane Technologies, we value our people and their development. This position has been designated as On-Site in Bloomington MN. **Where is the work:** This position has been designated as On-Site. _This position is designated Safety Sensitive._ **What you will bring:** We are looking for performance-driven, innovative leaders who understand the importance of collaboration and customer focus. A successful candidate will exhibit the following: - Collaborate with others to foster effective teamwork by linking own responsibilities to the team's goals and needs - zeal for new information, knowledge, and experiences - Rapidly resolve problems to maximize customer satisfaction - Establish courses of action for self and others to ensure work is completed efficiently, such as, prioritizing tasks based on importance - Pursuing a BS/BA Mechanical Engineering with a cumulative overall GPA at or above 3.0 - Desired Work Experience: Junior year status - completed at least one previous internship or work experience - Classwork, hands-on experience and/or personal passion in any of the areas of CAD Design, Product Development, Product Lifecycle Management, is a plus - Demonstrated leadership skills such as: campus organizations, sports team captain, resident advisor, etc. or exceptional leadership of work projects - U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future **Equal Employment Opportunity:** We offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits and programs.
