Job Title: Lab Technician Job Description + We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to perform laboratory and quality functions. + The role involves testing, collecting data, and analyzing findings on raw materials, ensuring compliance with NY State Ag & Markets, FDA, USDA, and GMP policies. + The technician must adhere to all standard operating procedures and requirements as directed under standard methods for laboratory procedures. Responsibilities + Conduct milk testing, product sample testing, powder testing, full silo batch testing, and bacteria testing. + Perform laboratory and quality functions by testing, collecting data, and analyzing findings on raw materials. + Ensure compliance with NY State Ag & Markets, FDA, USDA, and GMP policies. Essential Skills + AS or BS Degree in Biology or Chemistry. + Experience with lab instrumentation. + Knowledge of laboratory, quality control, biology, chemistry, quality assurance, GMP, microbiology, wet chemistry, and data entry. Additional Skills & Qualifications + BS Degree in Biology or Chemistry preferred. + Lab instrumentation experience. + No professional experience required; open to candidates with educational knowledge. Work Environment + The position offers both day and night shifts, with the day shift running from 6am to 6pm and the night shift from 6pm to 6am. + The lab technician will work in a laboratory setting equipped with necessary lab instrumentation. + Compliance with safety standards and proper lab attire is mandatory. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
