Job Description Summary:

The Production, Mission Operations, and Enhancements Division is seeking Graduating Senior or Recent College Graduate to join the Draper Systems Engineering team. Candidates will learn and apply the fundamentals of systems engineering to a broad, highly technical portfolio.


A successful candidate will be:



  • Highly motivated to support the delivery of technology solutions that are of strategic importance to the nation
  • Dedicated to developing the in-depth mission and technology domain expertise that enable realization of such solutions for complex systems
  • Capable of working & coordinating responsibilities inside a multidisciplinary team
Tasking may include: Identification of customer needs, development of use cases, requirements analysis and flow-down, system concept/architecture development (including analysis of alternatives, test design, interface definition/control, verification/test planning, development of system engineering documentation, model development, vehicle and mission-level simulation development, performance assessment, documentation of analysis results, and presentation of results both internal and external stake-holders.

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ability to independently complete assignments by applying technical knowledge to defined problems with minimal oversight.
  • Contribute content for technical reports and presentations with appropriate guidance.
  • Adapt appropriately to changes in program requirements.
  • Identify challenges associated with assigned work and communicate them to project leadership.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills/Abilities

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively and openly with multi-disciplinary program team members. program leadership, and non-technical personnel

Education
Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field.



Experience
0-3 years in Systems Engineering or relevant role.


Additional Job Description:

  • Candidates should have demonstrated experience and sound knowledge in core technologies (mechanical, electrical and/or software design) as well as practical systems engineering skills required to integrate core technical disciplines
  • Experience in system modeling and dynamic simulation development
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex technical ideas to a broad audience

Any of the following additional qualifications are desirable:

  • Experience with systems engineering and requirements process
  • Experience with systems modeling using SysML
  • Experience in the design of integration hardware/software systems

The US base salary range for this full-time position is

$62,500.00 - $125,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Union ranges will be in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement's approved rates by location and role.
