Adult Clinical Therapist

Reports to: RRFWC Clinical Supervisor

Location: Smyrna, TN. In-office 3 days per week. Telehealth from home 2 days per week.

Hours: Monday - Friday, approximately 8am - 5pm with availability to work until 6pm two days per week.

Allied Behavioral Health Solutions is a locally owned organization focusing on collaborating with individuals, families, medical providers, and communities to create better outcomes for all. This position will work out of the Resilient Roots Family Wellness Center (RRFWC) in Smyrna, a community space that includes clinical outpatient psychotherapy and medication management across the lifespan.

The primary function of this position is to provide individual, family, couples, group, and intensive outpatient counseling for adult clients aged 18+. However, there may be younger clients on the caseload if the need presents itself and it is within the scope of practice for the clinician.

Primary Functions of this role:

  • Provide individual/family/group counseling services utilizing evidence-based practices for approximately 25 sessions a week with some evening availability.
  • Commitment to learning and utilizing a variety of evidence-based practices including but not limited to TF-CBT, CPP, TARGET, CPC-CBT, and/or DBT.
  • Partner with outside agencies for client service delivery, as needed (DCS and other providers).
  • Provide education regarding behavioral health needs to staff and families as needed.
  • Appropriately assess and diagnose identified clients, per insurance requirements.
  • Develop appropriate treatment plans for identified client(s).
  • Maintain timely session and billing documentation.

  • Ability to remain calm and effectively manage crisis situations.
  • Capacity to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
  • Capability to collect data and engage in appropriate feedback.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master's in Counseling, Social Work, or related discipline.
  • Must be eligible to obtain temporary LPC or LMSW within six months of hiring.
  • Must be committed to seeking independent licensure as an LPC-MHSP or LCSW within a reasonable timeline.
  • LPC-MHSP, LCSW, or related licensure is preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Experience working in a medical and/or clinical setting is preferred.
